Needless to say, this didn’t quite make the cut in Roy’s latest memoirs.
It’s not exactly a secret that Roy Keane and Jason McAteer don’t get along, but if that was in any doubt, McAteer confirmed as much when discussing their relationship on beIN Sports recently.
As well as revisiting the famous incident when Keane smacked McAteer with an elbow not long after the release of his first book, McAteer read an entirely fictionalised excerpt from Keane’s latest book in which he imagined what it would have been like if their relationship was all peace and harmony.

We doubt Roy would appreciate this an awful lot if he came across it, but at least McAteer isn’t taking their fall-out too seriously.
