Expect a Crystal Swing tour of Australia to be announced in the very near future after this.
Australia and a switch to the AFL heralded a lot of new beginnings for Daniel Flynn when he made the switch Down Under to join Port Adelaide recently, but we doubt he expected to be talking about spuds and Crystal Swing in one of his first media appearances for the club.
That’s exactly how it turned out when Flynn took a seat in a Renault car for a video question and answer session that included questions on all sorts of topics from his team-mates and Port Adelaide fans on Instagram.
Thanks to Flynn, Australian viewers had to endure 30 seconds of Crystal Swing after Flynn said they were the best band to come out of Ireland and we have to say we’ve never heard a GAA man speak about spuds with the same authority as Flynn towards the end of the clip.
Also, we don’t know have we ever seen a man maintain a smile for quite as long as Flynn does but with an exciting new life as a professional athlete in a new country ahead of him, why wouldn’t he be smiling?
