It was a great idea but the execution didn’t quite come off…
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is the latest trend sweeping the world and it’s brilliant because it’s for a fantastic cause, to raise awareness about ALS, which is bettter known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
The list of celebrities that have got involved include Cristiano Ronaldo, Eddie Vedder and Robert Downey Jnr but loads have done it and the latest one to is American Ryder Cup captain Tom Watson. We love Tom Watson, he’s an eight-time Major winner and he comes across as a really great man.
Tom’s idea for his Ice Bucket Challenge was brilliant, he decided to fill up the bucket of a digger with ice and water and drop it over himself and wife Hilary. Great idea, not so great execution…
So, a splash of water landed on Tom and Hilary, we wanted to see them get drenched but fair play to him, it raises awareness and now we get to see if the US Team step up to the plate and do the challenge.
The best part is Hilary’s throwing a jug of water over the driving, she putt him in his place.
