Leinster are holding a special competition to bring a fan home from abroad for the Northampton game next weekend, but everyone else might as well give up now ‘cos this guy’s gonna win.

The Blues are offering up the quite brilliant prize of two return flights to Dublin from anywhere in the world as well as a whopping €1,000 in spending money, two VIP tickets to the annual Christmas Cracker game on December 14th (the Heineken Cup encounter with Northampton Saints) and Leinster goodie bags.

Entrants to the competition were asked to get creative via a 100 word status update on Facebook, a 140 character tweet, an image or video and while there will no doubt be quite a lot of entries for the competition, surely few will be as good as the video above by John Smith, a Leinster fan currently residing in Toronto, Canada.

We don’t want to give too much away but so dedicated is John to the cause that he has a wardrobe full of Leinster jerseys, he models his facial hair on Gordon D’Arcy’s magnificent beard, he’s spreading the gospel of BOD in his new home and he’s even set-up a one-man rugby team to maintain his passion for the game while exiled abroad.

If anyone beats John they’ll certainly have to come up with a hell of an entry to do so, but somehow we think he’ll be sitting pretty in the Aviva watching his beloved Blues take on Northampton next weekend.
