So who’s it going to be?
I have some knowledge about how football clubs raise the funds for any new transfers but a large part of me secretly wishes that Manchester United’s process involves Ed Woodward jumping into a vault of coins just like Scrooge McDuck. It probably doesn’t happen though.
One thing that’s set to happen though is the arrival of a new striker into Manchester United as Van Gaal continues his spending spree during the transfer window – the names of Depay, Darmian, Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger are set to adorn many a replica jersey in the Stretford End – but the club are far from finished with the cheque book.
Cavani, Kane, Benzema, Muller and Pedro are just some of the goalscorers that have been linked with a move to Old Trafford but Van Gaal remained coy about revealing the identity of the clubs main target when speaking with the press in the US.
The Dutchman did reveal though that his main target remains a secret and that the press have yet to identify him. Is he deliberately throwing a spanner into the works here or does Louis have an ace up his sleeve?
Take a look at the comments that he makes at the 3 minute mark below but there’s even more intrigue because he also confirmed the clubs interest in signing Sergio Ramos, as seen in the accompanying Vine.

Louis van Gaal asked about buying Sergio Ramos. “It’s a process & maybe Mr Ramos is in the process.” #mufc https://t.co/TAmc5SX3zQ
