The RTE Sport department have form when it comes to producing video appetisers for big games and they’ve pulled another one out of the bag for the Clare v Limerick clash tomorrow.

The atmosphere at Croke Park was something special for last weekend’s epic clash between Dublin and Cork and there’s a very good chance it will be exceeded when local rivals Clare and Limerick do battle to see who will face the Rebels in the All-Ireland Final next month.

Semple Stadium was certainly rocking when they met in the Championship last year and that was merely a Munster semi-final, so don’t be surprised if the volume is turned up to 11 around 3.30 tomorrow afternoon.

Those who won’t be there will be tuning in eagerly to coverage of the match on RTE, who have put together a nice little appetiser for the big game.

Appropriately enough given the prominence of the Shannon in both counties, the theme is ‘A River Runs Through It’ and while it’s a lot more mellow and peaceful in the footage above than it will be in Croker, it helps whet the appetite all the same.

We can’t wait.
