United fans couldn’t have scripted it any better
It’s a well known fact that only good players get booed by the opposing fans, so in a way, Steven Gerrard can take these chants from the Man Utd fans at Anfield in a positive way.
We highly doubt it though.
The Reds skipper let the red mist descend on him this afternoon as he was rightfully sent-off, just 45 seconds after being sprung from the bench, in Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat to their arch rivals.
Gerrard has since apologised for his actions but it seems that the travelling United supporters wasted no time in making their NSFW voices heard.
Stevie G might be hoping that the fans of rival MLS teams are kinder to him in a few months time.
