If you think John McEnroe was a bit of a loose cannon, check out Marcos Baghdatis’ temper tantrum at the Australian Open earlier today.

The fiery Cypriot flew off the handle during his second round meeting with Stanislas Wawrinka in Melbourne, breaking four racquets in a row after he failed to hold his serve.

Possibly scared or even feeling a degree of sympathy for Baghdatis after his outburst, Wawrinka allowed Baghdatis to break back in the very next game but eventually went on to defeat him in four sets.

The defeat was hardly a surprise given that Baghdatis was forced to play with only his hands for the rest of the game, having broken all of his available racquets in the short but devastating tantrum (we’re obviously kidding).

Observe Baghdatis’ moment of madness in the video above.
