It wasn’t quite on the same level as his collision with Monaghan’s Stephen Gollogly last year but this still must have hurt.

McHugh was part of a Donegal outfit that enjoyed a comprehensive 13-point victory over Laois in O’Moore Park on Sunday and he’s lucky he wasn’t more seriously hurt after being caught high by Denis Booth in the second half, a challenge that resulted in a red card for the Laois corner back. We doubt Booth meant to catch him as high as he did but it still looked like a pretty nasty collision.
