Slovakia’s hopes of making it to Brazil 2014 were already dead before tonight’s game with Greece but still, losing 1-0 in the manner they did will surely rankle. Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel was closed down by a Greek attacker and played a routine back pass to his keeper. Unbelievably, Jan Mucha let the ball go right under his foot and the ball rolled into the net for the only goal of the game.
