Video: Mexican commentators go absolutely crazy watching USA save their World Cup skins

We think it is safe to say the lads are pretty happy.

We think it is safe to say the lads are pretty happy.

While there were lots of celebrations all over Europe, from the Iceland squad to the streets of Bosnia, the goings on in the CONCACAF qualifiers were arguably even more extraordinary.

As Mexico were losing 2-1 to Costa Rica, and with Panama beating USA by the same score, the Mexicans were slipping out of fourth spot and a World Cup play-off game with New Zealand.

But a remarkable 90 seconds of play in Panama saw them concede two to the US and drop out of that spot, presenting it back to Mexico, keeping their World Cup dream alive.

First Graham Zusi and then Aron Johannsson salvaged a 3-2 win for the US with goals in injury time to break Panama’s heart and send these Mexican commentators into ecstasy.

We bet Chicharito was pretty happy too, after he had this miss in the Costa Rica game.
