The Movistar rider has been forced to withdraw from the race and we’re not very surprised…

It’s been confirmed that Nairo Quintana has pulled out of the Vuelta a Espana today following two crashes in the last two days. The Movistar cyclist was leading the race heading into yesterday’s 10th stage but an absolutely terrifying crash has seen him abandon the race.

Check it out here (not for the squeamish)…

The Colombia started today’s 11th stage but another crash forced him to stop after 20 kilometres. When your luck is out, your luck it out. We can’t believe he was even able to get on the bike today.

It proves cyclists are some of the toughest sports people in the world, hopefully the Giro d’Italia winner will be back in action soon.
