On a milestone day for the darling of Old Trafford, we prefer to remember Eric Cantona for the right reasons.
Today marks 21 years to the day of one of the most infamous incidents in the history of the Premier League; Eric Cantona kung-fu kicking a Crystal Palace supporter after being sent off at Selhurst Park.
The Frenchman was no angel and it was one of a number of unsavoury incidents throughout his career, but on a day when everyone is talking about him, we’d prefer to remember the other, ridiculously talented side of ‘The King’.
Here are seven (of course) of Cantona’s best goals for United:
1. A superb strike from a free-kick against Arsenal
2. A fantastic chip on the counter-attack against Sheffield United
3. A sensational volley against Wimbledon
4. Last minute cup-final winning goals against your fiercest rivals are always a thing of beauty. This against Liverpool in 1996

5. Another against Arsenal and another goal of real venomous quality

6. Not one of his best goals, but certainly one of his most important, against Newcastle in 1997
