Kansas City Royals won the American League Championship Series (ALCS) last night and there was only place for fans to go and party afterwards.

The Royals’ magical season continued last night as they secured a 2-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles at Kauffman Stadium, winning the American League Championship Series and advancing to the World Series while they were at it.

The Royals’ success is all the more remarkable in that this is the first time in 29 years that they have made the play-offs and they have become the first team to start a post-season with eight victories in a row.

Needless to say, the Royals fans are lapping up their hot streak at the moment and one of those fans is Anchorman star Paul Rudd, who spent a large part of his childhood in Kansas and half-heartedly invited all fans back to his mom’s house when being interviewed after the game last night.

Rudd might have been half-joking but he should still be young enough to know that a lot of people probably counted that as a proper invitation and we wouldn’t be surprised if his mother’s house was actually bombarded by Royals fans last night.

Still, he should at least make enough from the $5 cover charge to clean up the mess.
