Video: Peter Stringer somehow didn’t make Rugby HQ’s Top Five little men in world rugby

No Peter Stringer? We’re outraged.

No Peter Stringer? We’re outraged.

It’s not often we’ve reason to be miffed with the lads at Rugby HQ – love your work guys – but they’ve a lot to answer for after omitting Peter Stringer, capped no less than 98 times for Ireland, from their top five this week, which pays tribute to the best little men in world rugby.

In fairness to Sean Maloney and the boys, the five who did make the final cut are fairly well-deserving of their place, from Springbok speedster Breyton Paulse at number five to his compatriot Gio Aplon at number three and two of the greatest northern hemisphere wingers of modern times, Jason Robinson and Shane Williams, in the top two spots.

Stringer has featured in a Rugby HQ top five before, of course, so maybe the lads were wary of over-exposure and besides, the former Munster man doesn’t need to appear in a list to remind us of his brilliance; all we need to do is watch clips like the one below over and over and over again…
