Taylor hit the tenth live nine-darter of his career in a 13-6 win over Michael Smith to reach the quarter-finals of the World Matchplay in Blackpool last night and although every single nine-darter is an extraordinary achievement, rarely will you see one that looks as easy as this. Taylor might as well have been practising in his garage such was the casual manner in which he hit 180, 177 and finished with a 144 for a perfect leg and as was noted by the commentators, it never looked in doubt.
