The world number one looks to be pretty decent from the penalty spot

La Bombonera is one of the most iconic grounds in world football, the home of Boca Juniors and the site of one of the most intense rivalries in the game between, River Plate, their neighbours from Buenos Aires and los Xeneizes.

It was home to another big rivalry on the weekend when Rafael Nadal took on Novak Djokovic in a friendly game of penalties, with the Spaniard impressing from twelve yards out and beating the Serb 3-1.

We would most definitely be in favour of next year’s French Open being decided in a similar fashion. It seemed that the Spaniard, whose uncle played for Barcelona and Mallorca in his time, was pretty comfortable on the turf and in a Boca Juniors shirt.

His presence and support couldn’t help them win their game against All Boys however, as they sunk to a 0-2 defeat.
