Further proof, if needed, that Robert Pires is an absolute legend.

Robert Pires is not, as far as we know, officially retired from football. The 39-year-old World Cup winner has been linked with clubs all over the globe in recent months but he could probably still do a job somewhere based on this footage.

Pires was on his holidays in Greece and he decided to take in a friendly game between local teams Storm Rafina and AO Mykonos. Once he was spotted in the stands some enterprising member of the Rafina team asked him to play the second half as a favour.

Pires duly obliged and showed that class is definitely permanent. He coolly slotted a goal with his left before teeing up what proved to be the winner with a very fine pass indeed.

And he even stayed around afterwards to pose for some pictures with fans. Top man.
