Jon Walters scored twice in the 2-0 win which gave us a 3-1 aggregate win over Bosnia.
The happiness was pouring out the players and management at the final whistle and it’s the happiest we’ve seen Roy Keane in a very long time.
The assistant manager was interviewed by RTE’s Tony O’Donoghue after the game and Keane was so chuffed, he even threw in a funny quip about Saipan.
If that doesn’t sum up how good a night it’s been, nothing will.
