Leinster took victory over Munster in the inaugural Hurling 11s game in Notre Dame recently, but as Nationwide showed last night, the game itself was the real winner.
We brought you some of the best action form the game where some 2,500 spectators witnessed some of our finest hurlers pit their wits against eachother in a game devised by Donal Og Cusack. On RTE last night Nationwide had a special feature on the event and game itself, from the players, the Association and the American public to get their feedback and it has been pretty positive all-round. The video also shows some top notch goals, brilliant goalkeeping and of course the customary schemozzle. You can take the boys out of Ireland and all that. There has been widespread discussion of the merits and value of such trips, but it seems to have impressed those involved and the Americans that witnessed the Irish clash.Explore more on these topics:
