Video: Charlie Adam was serenading fans with ‘Flower Of Scotland’ in a Dublin pub after the Ireland match

The Stoke City footballer was in great form

You’ve never heard ‘Flower of Scotland’ quite like this before…

Charlie Adam was an unused sub at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, as Scotland all but ended Ireland’s hopes of qualifying for Euro 2016.

The Scottish fans were certainly in jovial form following the game and it seems that the players were too, especially if this footage of a crooning Charlie Adam is anything to by.

Now, some people out there might say his attempt at, ahem, “singing” added insult to injury for the Irish fans, but it’s great to see both sets of fans having a cracking night out after the match.

Jacqueline Costello sent us in the footage with the following description…

“This was taken in Peadar Kearney’s Pub on Dame Street after the Ireland vs Scotland game. It’s Charlie Adam singing ‘Flower Of Scotland’ with Brian Brody (singer) and Brian Costello (the owner).

“Charlie is friends with my husband Brian Costello and they were there all night. He kept a bit of a low profile first but after a while he had the craic with everyone dancing and then he got up on stage. I think a couple of the other players were with him and some of his really close pals too.

“All our customers and Scottish supports were thrilled with themselves. The atmosphere in the pub was amazing!”

Charlie Adam trying to out do our fantastic brian by serenading the scots with "the flower of Scotland"!!!!!
