He may be inching towards retirement, but the big hairy fella still packs a punch. A serious punch.

With all the exciting rugby we had on Saturday, the meeting of Lyon and Agen in the Pro D2 in France will probably have slipped under your radar. It slipped under ours too, until we heard about Sebastian Chabal’s moment of madness in the game. Now plying his trade for Lyon, the 36-year-old got into a tangle with Agen’s Marc Giraud after a ruck. Away from the play, and the referee, Chabal ended the tussle by clocking Giraud with a fearsome right hook, knocking Giraud out cold. The Agen man had to be stretchered off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvaHVvsVJt4 Incredibly, the man known as the Caveman only received a yellow but we suspect a hefty ban is in the pipeline. The good news is Giraud is okay, with Scrum.com reporting that he tweeted last night that he was fine and he would ‘sleep well’. We bet he did.
