Shane Long’s winning goal against Germany last night was a great goal in any language and if you don’t believe us, look how it was greeted on German TV last night.
Our German is a little rusty but there’s plenty of enthusiasm in the commentator’s voice and once they were happy it wasn’t offside, they seemed happy to give it the credit it deserved.
It must be said, meanwhile, that although the post-goal music in the Aviva Stadium doesn’t always go down well, it sounds bloody amazing in this clip.
Now excuse us while we go watch it another 27 times.
