We thought it would take something special to put the fear of God into rugby star Sonny Bill Williams. It turns out snakes will do the trick.
The Kiwi is busy preparing ahead of the Rugby League World Cup and his team-mates decided to play a prank on the master of both codes by introducing a snake to the changing room at their training base in Sydney.
SBW bounced off the massage table when the metre-long reptile was scooped up by his Sydney Roosters teammate Frank Paul Nuuausala and pointed in his direction, though he wasn’t the only one not too comfortable with the snake in such close proximity.
The Kiwi’s fly to the UK this week to defend their crown and at least he should be relatively safe in the comfort that such a prank is more unlikely on British shores.
Can’t say Sonny Bill is a man we would piss off ourselves, but we’re sure his team-mates know what they are doing.
