Anyway, when the hosts saw Adil Rami issued with a straight red for hauling down a goal-bound Wilfried Bony in the first half it was always going to be a little easier for Michael Laudrup’s side and they certainly took advantage.
Two up after goals by Bony and Michu, the third goal of the night was the real highlight as Jonathan de Guzman thumped home a long distance free kick.
