Jack Charlton had recently retired as the Republic of Ireland manager after failing to guide his side to Euro ’96 and joined Pat Kenny for a chat to look back on his legendary term as Irish boss.
The interview was interrupted for a very special tribute by Ted and Dougal themselves, who were busy filming during the peak of Father Ted.
The 20-year-old clip (that’s mad, Ted) shows Ted trying to explain to Dougal what the purpose of the message is, akin to the great cow distance lecture that Douglas failed to grasp.
This is brilliant and will fill all those who remember with a nostalgia overload.
