Love him or loathe him, it’s hard not to respect Conor McGregor’s honesty here.
The Notorious is coming off a shock (to many people) defeat to Nate Diaz at UFC 196, and his assessment was extremely frank when he was interviewed backstage after the fight by UFC correspondent, Megan Olivi.
In a short but analytical review, McGregor questioned why he didn’t attack Diaz’s body more, while lamenting the fact that he retreated considerably in the second round.
He admitted to not preparing for a stronger reaction from a physically bigger opponent and summed up the bout by criticising his own efficiency, or lack thereof.
Just watch McGregor’s reaction in the opening few seconds when he’s reminded that he is still the UFC featherweight champion.
Sheer frustration.
