Floods have been widespread throughout the country.
As you may know, France was hit with severe flooding over the weekend which tragically took the lives of 16 people that were living along the French Riviera.
The areas that suffered the most from this flooding was the Alpes-Maritimes region, which borders Italy, as rain levels reportedly reached 17cm (6.7inches) over a two-hour period.
Naturally the awful weather conditions caused certain sporting events to be postponed over the weekend and the Ligue 1 meeting between Nice and Nantes was just one of them.
Here’s a small glimpse at just how heavy the rain was falling in the region.
