Video: The Blizzards provide the soundtrack for this incredibly cool exhibition of mountain biking in California

Wow.

Conor Heneghan

Wow.

A lot of us would shudder at the thought of riding a bike down a steep hill never mind attempting to pull off stunts of any kind, but the pros make pulling off those ridiculous stunts look as easy as, well, riding a bicycle.

Sam Pilgrim is a professional mountain-biker from Colchester in England and if you’re into biking or just an adrenaline-seeker in general, you’ll appreciate this video that showcases all of the amazing things he’s capable of on two wheels.

This video was sent our way by Niall Breslin – Bressie to most Irish people – whose voice you can hear in the background on Fantasy, a track by his former band The Blizzards.

The video itself, meanwhile, was put together by Martyn Ashton, a former professional cyclist who was paralysed in an accident in 2013.

Shot in spectacular surroundings in California, it’ll put the hairs standing on the back of your neck and make you want to get the BMX out all over again.

We should remind you, of course, that Sam is a pro and that you shouldn’t really try the type of things he gets up to at home.

Class.

Hat-tip to Niall Breslin for sending this one our way
