It must have been tough being an on duty Garda last night. Well, unless you were in Limerick, of course.
In Dublin, it must have been hard for the Gardai not to join in with the celebrations.
Instead, they had to watch on as huge crowds of Irish fans gathered on Camden Street, becoming louder and more raucous when they tried to get them to disperse at approximately 4am.
In fairness to the Gardai, Sherman tanks wouldn’t have shifted those joyous Ireland fans; wonderful nights like last night don’t come around too often after all.
