The big provincial battles between Tyrone and Donegal, Galway and Mayo, Kerry and Cork, all seem a long time ago and another thrilling Gaelic football championship is behind us. Okay, the final didn’t (perhaps couldn’t) live up to expectations but it was still a hell of a year.
