Video: The most action-packed hurling fight video we’ve ever seen

We don't condone violence but this had everything you need for a good schmozzle

We don’t condone violence but this had everything you need for a good schmozzle…

JOE has been watching sport since we were knee high to a grasshopper (ridiculous saying) and down through the years we’ve seen a fair few fights breakout during matches. However, when it happens in gaelic games it’s not called a fight because there are plenty of other terms that sound less menacing like “getting to know each other,” “hand bags,” “bumper cars,” “a schmozzle,” “argy bargy,” “Donnybrook” etc.

Well, all of the above happend at a recent challenge match between Crusheen of Clare and Tipperary side Kilruane McDonaghs as things got a bit heated in the second half when some “fisty-cuffs” broke out near the sideline.

There is so much going on in this video and we don’t want you to miss anything so we’re going to give you a check-list of what to look out for…

  • The massive hit at the start which sees the player’s hurley fly through the air
  • The number 11 in the stand putting his head in his hands after the first hit
  • The guy on the ground sits up like WWE wrestler The Undertaker
  • The punch thrown by the guy after he gets up off the ground
  • The supporter dropping the ‘f-bomb’ just as the big melee erupts
  • The little kid in the stand looking around laughing
  • The number 14 who comes in from the side and drives his hurley into someone
  • Followed by the number 12 who comes in from the side and drives his hurley into someone
  • The lovely digital scoreboard

Enjoy it all here…
