There’s been a lot of talk over the last few weeks about the new underage talent which has been rising up in the southern hemisphere. Yesterday we brought you the highlights of the 15-year-old Australian who was lighting up schools rugby and previously we brought you footage of the Tongan Thor.
Our dear friends over at Rugby HQ have pulled together some glorious clips of talented rugby players in their secondary school days that have left us feeling very self-conscious about our rugby career, or rather our lack of it.
We always like to think we could have made it to the highest level of competition; a possible career with Clontarf or Buccaneers followed up by a retirement role as an expert pundit for Sky Sports… we’ve no idea where it all went wrong. *sucks in beer belly*
Back to the schoolboy prodigies, a certain Johan Goosen who has featured on our site twice in the last few weeks makes the cut, as does All Black winger Julian Savea, who beats the whole team on the way to score a try. Check out the precocious talents here…
