A perfect mood-setter for the big one on Saturday night.
We’re only days out from one of the biggest Irish sporting events of the year and the excitement is palpable ahead of Conor McGregor’s bout with Jose Aldo on Saturday night.
The UFC Embedded series does a good job of keeping that excitement ticking over until the weekend and there’s more for MMA fans to look forward to in the form of an RTE documentary airing this Thursday night.
Made by the same company behind the excellent documentary series on Conor McGregor, The Notorious, the Fighting Irish charts the huge rise in the popularity of MMA in Ireland and how McGregor himself has had such a huge influence on the sport in the country.
McGregor features heavily in the documentary, as do other well-known MMA figures in Ireland such as Coach John Kavanagh, Paddy Holahan, Aisling Daly and the recently retired Cathal Pendred, and it airs on RTE 2 this Thursday at 10pm.
Well worth a look.
