Euro 2016 will miss them.
The Netherlands may not be taking part at Euro ’16 but their fans have certainly brought the party atmosphere with them to Dublin ahead of Ireland’s clash with the Oranje at the Aviva Stadium. Despite the expanded format of the European Championships, the Netherlands had a bit of a nightmare in qualifying for France.
The Dutch finished fourth in Group A, nine point behind group winners Iceland and five points behind third-placed Turkey.
While this current crop of Dutch players is far from vintage, there’s no denying that Euro ’16 will miss the colour and atmosphere that their fans bring to the matches.
