This brings back memories of Euro 2012…
The country is still on a high after watching Conor McGregor deliver on his promise at UFC 178 by knocking out Dustin Poirier in the first round of their fight in Las Vegas.
There were thousands of Irish people glued to their telly in the wee hours of Sunday morning and the sleep deprivation was worth it as McGregor got the job done in 106 seconds. Remarkable stuff.
If you thought watching it at home with your buddies was brilliant, imagine what is was like to be at the MGM Grand for the fight. There was a huge Irish presence there with UFC President Dana White saying 10% of the tickets were sold in Ireland.
This bunch of fans were lucky enough to make it to Vegas for the fight and they took over the MGM after McGregor’s KO, it looks like some craic…
