If we were to tell you about a nine-year-old training to the Rocky theme song for her Thai boxing championship next week, there might be some of you who’d think ‘Aw, that’s adorable.’ You would be very, very wrong.
Jodie McCarthy is 5 Nations Thai boxing champion, and she would absolutely be able to beat up you and all of your mates without breaking a sweat.
Her dad Dan has shared this video of her training regime with us, complete with footage of Jodie’s past fights, and we can say with all honesty that we would not fare any better against her than the other nine-year-old she’s battering, nor the dead cow hanging up in Bresnan’s Butchers.
