The man himself would be proud of this effort.
We love a good impression here at JOE, so when a JOE reader impersonates an Irish great like Míchéal Ó’Muircheartaigh, we’re all ears.
Cork man and Gillingham defender John Egan sent us this clip this evening of his friend, Eoin McGreevy, also from Cork, taking off the legendary GAA commentator in an uncanny manner when they were in Southend back in 2014.
Speaking to JOE, John said:
“Himself and a few of my friends came over from Cork to Southend for a few days, because I had the League Two play-offs at the time when I was on loan from Sunderland.
“It was taken on the beach the morning after the game.
“My father is the John Egan that won All-Ireland titles with Kerry, so Eoin would have watched a few old tapes with me and he’s great at taking commentators off in general.”
Take a look, because this is great.
Enjoy
