A pure joy to behold.
The official news of the night from Parnell Park is that St Vincent’s beat Ballymun Kickham’s 1-9 to 1-8 to claim the Dublin senior football title at the second attempt. Philly McMahon and Diarmuid Connolly both saw red in the low-scoring affair that by all reports was good but didn’t quite hit the heights of the thrilling draw between the two sides a few days ago. So, easily the highlight of the game was this fantastic bit of half-time entertainment provided by two kids on the pitch. Who they are, or what the beef is about bar the ball is unknown, but as classic kids ‘fights’ go, this is pretty much perfect.
