The referee’s hand signal to indicate a try was seen as the perfect opportunity for a high-five by the jubilant scorer.
We’re not sure where this try was scored, but the little information we do have is that the scorer was delighted to score his first try for the team, which would explain perhaps why he was given the ball when his team-mate could have coasted in for the five pointer himself.
Chuffed with the score, he turned around to see the referee with his hand in the air. You, or anyone else for that matter, may have thought it was to indicate the score, but the player himself took it slightly differently.
Maybe it might give Simon Zebo some ideas for when he returns from injury.
