Fernando Torres is back at Atletico Madrid and here’s a reminder of why both he and the fans are very excited.
He banged in 91 goals when he was at Atletico Madrid between 2001 and 2007 before departing to Liverpool. Atletico to the core, he came up through their ranks and went on to become their captain, their talisman, and the one player that all Atletico fans idolised.
We are all hoping that the move back to Atletico will rejuvenate the career of a once great striker.
Alex Ferguson was a long-time admirer of the previously-super striker when he was in Spain and, with form like this, it’s no surprise to see why.
