If anyone deserves their own top five, it’s Nick Cummins, the man better known as The Honey Badger.
We hardly need to elaborate on our admiration for The Honey Badger in JOE Towers. Thanks to his hilarious interviews, cracking one-liners, friendly exchanges with Brian O’Driscoll, not to mention his exploits on the pitch, he’s provided us with any amount of enjoyable moments in the last couple of years. Cummins recently bade farewell to the Super XV – he is moving to Japan for extremely noble reasons, more on that here – and as a tribute to the great man, Sean Maloney and the lads at Rugby HQ paid him a special tribute with his very own top five on the show this week. The top five includes a mixture of his best on and off-field shenanigans and will have you laughing and smiling at one of the most refreshing characters we’ve come across in sport for a long time. We’d like to wish Nick all the best in his new career in Japan, but as long as he goes ‘up the guts into ‘em’ and commits ‘head over biscuit’, we’re sure there’ll be plenty of meat pies (tries) to come and he’ll be a huge success at his new club.
