Video: Tiger Woods' ball hit someone on the head and Henrik Stenson snapped his club at the Open
It's been a pretty eventful day so far...
The Open Championship teed off at Royal Liverpool earlier this morning and it's been pretty detrimental to productivity in JOE offices, only joking, we are working really hard and we are definitely not glued to the golf.
One player we were looking forward to seeing this week was Tiger Woods and how he'd play having just made his comeback from injury. Tiger has started well shooting a three under round of 69 so he's in decent shape.
Woods was also involved in one of the more painful incidents today as his drive on 17 ended up smashing into the side of this guy's head, did anyone yell 'fore'?
We imagine that was pretty sore but thankfully the guy is totally fine.
Hat-tip to Business Insider.
The hilarity at The Open doesn't end there though as Henrik Stenson lost his cool in the most graceful was possible earlier. The Swede finished on level par which is solid enough but the round clearly didn't go according to plan as he was so angry, he snapped one of his clubs in half.
That sounds like an aggressive action but Stenson did it in a ice-cold, calm manner and then handed the broken club to his caddy...
