Video: Tiger Woods, Jay Z, Michael Jordan and a whole host of others pay tribute to baseball great Derek Jeter in cool Nike ad
Ahead of his last All Star game before retirement, Nike have produced an ad to celebrate New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter. It's pretty damn good.
There are few bigger, and more respected, names in baseball than New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter. The 40-year-old is currently playing out his last season at Yankee Stadium after an incredible 19-year career playing in pinstripes.
His consistency, and professionalism, have marked him out as one of the all-time greats so before his final All Star game appearance this week, Nike put together a very special ad for the occasion.
Set to be broadcast tomorrow night, the ad features a cast of thousands paying tribute to Jeter. From fellow sporting superstars like Tiger, Jordan and Carmelo Anthony, to entertainment big names like Spike Lee and Billy Crystal, this is one hell of a tribute.
The best bits for us are the fans or arch rivals Boston Red Sox paying their respects and the cross-town rival Mets players, who doff their caps with their faces blurred.
Thanks to Gary O'Hanlon for sending it our way.
