Video: Tim Cahill scores the fastest ever goal in the MLS, and it’s a beaut
The Houston Dynamos never got started…
Breaking a record is good, but breaking a record in style is even better. Former Everton man Tim Cahill became the fastest ever goal scorer in the history of the MLS at the weekend when he netted for the New York Red Bulls against the Houston Dynamos.
And not only was the Aussie’s goal after just seven seconds a record setter, it was also a class goal, as he leaped to win the ball ahead of the defender before rifling it into the top corner on the volley.
He’s no Stephanie Roche (who is), but it’s wasn’t a bad effort all the same.
