He asked for his own pop show as well but it’s probably best to stick to the sports presenting for now Tommy.
Normally the thought of a presenter on a morning show singing into the camera would have reaching for the off button on the remote as soon as possible but in fairness to Tommy, it was all in good fun and he wasn’t slow to take the mick out of his own efforts soon afterwards.
The Donegal native didn’t just start singing off the cuff on TV3 this morning, he was prompted to do so after British athlete Marilyn Okoro sang ‘Amazing Grace’ after an amazing race in the 800 metre heats at the World Championships.
Once Okoro – who did a pretty good job of the song – stopped, Tommy took over and gave us all a good laugh of a Friday morning, although we wouldn’t be holding our breath about that record deal if we were him.
