Video: Two J1 students in Boston go through all the emotions watching Westmeath’s famous win

Sheer unadulterated joy

Conor Heneghan

What a day for Westmeath.

Only Westmeath people can know how much it truly meant to defeat Meath yesterday, but the tremendous scenes amongst the fans of the Lake County at Croke Park told you all you need to know.

And if that wasn’t enough, this Irish Dad’s reaction said it loud and clear; let’s just say yesterday was a really big deal for everyone associated with GAA in the county.

Sure, your man already has his own dance remix!

Two Westmeath lads, Rónán Donohoe & Michael Fagan, who are currently on a J1 in Boston, couldn’t make it to Croker yesterday but they did catch the match online and went through the whole gamut of emotions while tuning in for the final stages.

Obviously nothing beats being there, but when you can share this sort of experience with your fellow county men abroad, it’s not a bad alternative and Rónán assured us that they were going to celebrate in style in Boston last night.

Iarmhí abu!

Hat-tip to Rónán Donohue for sending this one our way
