Yes, it is fight week in the UFC and yes that can only mean one thing… the return of UFC embedded to our screens.
Last month we featured the
UFC embedded series in the build-up to UFC 178 featuring McGregor v Poirier and this time it features fellow featherweights Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes ahead of their UFC 179 clash this Saturday in Brazil.
In this episode, Aldo goes through his paces at training and we hear an interview with his Muay Thai coach Pedro Rizzo, who reveals the anger in the camp since Aldo’s teammate Renan Barão lost to Chad Mendes’ stable mate T.J. Dillashaw. Aldo is also quite dismissive of McGregor during an interview, calling him “a shit”, or at least that is what the subtitles tell us.
Mendes, on the other hand, is more focused on travel and getting ready for his flight to Brazil but we do see T.J. Dillashaw and Nate Diaz training in his gym.
