Ricardo ‘The Bully’ Lamas may have just earned himself a trip to the emergency room after he impersonated Irish UFC star Conor McGregor in an interview with MMA Junkie.

The American said he was not interested in “being a clown and trash-talking and saying, ‘Oh, look at this pocket watch. Three people died making this.’” The talented featherweight was talking in the build up to UFC 180 in Mexico City this Saturday, a card that also holds an interim heavyweight title fight between Fabricio Werdum and Mark Hunt.

Lamas was making a clear reference to McGregor’s post-fight press conference following his victory over Max Holloway last year. You can see that press conference below with the remark occurring around 7:45…

Lamas is not an opponent to be sniffed at as he is the #4 ranked contender in the division and a win over Dennis Bermudez this weekend at UFC 180 will only enhance his reputation.

McGregor may be in line for a title fight if he beats Denis Siver in January, but Lamas will be waiting in the wings as well and the pair will have to meet at some stage. We are certain that McGregor won’t need any extra motivation for the fight after watching this…
