F1’s latest ‘upcoming superstar’ is a 16-year-old Dutchman named Max Verstappen, the same kid who recently crashed the Toro Rosso demo car at an event in Rotterdam.

Crashing a car is the last thing you want to do when you’re trying to show off how good of a driver you are ahead of your very first F1 season. Sadly, that’s exactly what happened to 16-year-old Dutch native Max Verstappen at an event in Rotterdam over the weekend. After pulling off some pretty sweet doughnuts in the very expensive F1 car, the 16-year-old gets a little bit too close to the wall for comfort and is forced to ask the stewards for a push backwards, away from the barrier. Verstappen then pulls off in the Toro Rosso demo car only to crash the front end into the wall on the opposite side of the track. According to reports, the demo car in question was repaired and used later in the event. Lets just hope this isn’t a sign for things to come next year…
